Over the last few years public school teachers in the Dominican Republic have begun to see an increase in their salary. This has left our teachers with a predicament. Do they continue to serve Christ by remaining in the Christian and Private sector, or do they leave to work for a public school that pays more? If you would take just a moment to watch this video you will get to know some of our teachers and you may even find your sponsored child!
In the video you heard about over 100 years combined that these teachers have stood beside us serving our students. These are the most dedicated type of teacher and they see their position, not as a job, but as a ministry. To lose them to the public sector because of wages breaks our hearts and sadly it has already started to happen. They have families to provide for and the $148 per month average salary that we are able to provide just isn't enough. In an attempt to prevent the loss of more precious teachers we are asking for your partnership.
